For those who can't fathom why someone would want to go to college in a small town, consider the wisdom of the great Sly Stone -- different strokes, baby.  When I visited Midd, I was especially impressed by the students' creativity in entertaining themselves -- quidditch matches, supper clubs, storytelling slams . . . again, maybe not your thing, but others can differ.  And there's a lifetime after your bright college years to go to bars, restaurants and retail establishments, no?

As for paying full freight at any school, if you're in the fortunate position of being able to afford to do so, why not?
