You said your 3 year old was the youngest and the rest were 5-9. I have never seen parents jump in the bouncy houses at birthday parties! What a bunch of weirdoes. Let the children play.
It was a trampoline park per the OP, not a bounce house. Plenty of adults jumping at trampoline parks.
I love to jump at trampoline places! I have no hang ups about having a good time and having fun. On to the main question: I think Pizza (and cake) are enough, as long as there is plenty of pizza. Also, as kids get older they eat more-- much more! So sometimes I think people don't realize how much more the kids are eating this year vs. last year and under order. Not a big deal. I will never eat until all the kids are stuffed.
Your child is invited to a trampoline birthday party and you waltz in there and start jumping???
Yep, I just waltz into a public venue and jump. The horror!
What's the word where you are embarrassed and cringing for someone else, but they cluelessly feel no shame at all?
I think the word you are looking for yourself is, insecure. Plenty of adults jump. It's not shameful. I am very glad I'm not friends with any of you IRL because you are all a bunch of boring, pearl clutching people.
It's not the actual jumping many people have the problem with. It's the fact that it's usually a pay-per-head kind of thing, or an age-limit kind of thing, and the clueless parents who are rolling in and bouncing without either paying or checking on the age-limit are obnoxious.
This. It’s one thing if you decide to take Larlo to Rockin Jump one Saturday and you bounce together. It’s a different situation when Larlo is invited to Larla’s birthday party and Larlo’s mom decides it’s an opportunity for her to jump as well. Because Larla’s parents have to pay for that and Larlo’s mom is not the invited guest.
