This made me think of how it used to be with digital music. Music companies wanted you to buy the whole album for $16, so they made it real tough to download music. When Apple and the music companies finally came up with a system where you could buy individual songs for $1 or $2, piracy dropped dramatically. It's 3 years to suss out FRAUDULENT marriages and permanent residency.

Unlike mob rushing the Mexico/U.S. border and getting "vetted" in a couple of 20 minute translator conversations, 5 minute doctor appt, and zero ID or homeland paperwork. All while getting put up on gov't dime for days or weeks. No fraud here, right folks!?![/quote]

catch and release? absolutely.  Most have zero paperwork, photos, communication proof of anything. They even lie about their age, name, children, etc. Anything goes, just show up with nothing but your story. [/quote]

2. So ICE is releasing them?  Whose fault is that?  If you are referring to local law enforcement, well, 1. that's not their job, just as it's not ICE's job to give speeding tickets   2. many of the big metro areas don't have room in their jails to hold nonviolent illegal immigrants.  [/quote]
