I am an Independent. I was a Democrat for many years. Up until this morning, I was set to cast my vote in November for Gov. Larry Hogan. That is, until I read this interview Hogan gave to the NYT. In short, Hogan's responses to many key and fundamental questions about the current administration are...bone chilling. These are softball questions, that Hogan flat-out missed. It's a bit un-nerving. I don't weigh-in very often on these forums, unless I have something significant and worth your time. This is >> https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/04/opinion/sunday/republicans-donald-trump-larry-hogan.html
This article only solidifies why I will be voting for Hogan. He is placing the wants and needs of Marylanders first. He does not want to waste time being consume about Trump and other issues in Washington that have nothing to do with Maryland. I am glad that he takes the high road instead of drowning into divisive politics like other politicians. Our state needs someone who has the ability to work down both sides of the aisle without loosing focus on what really matters to Marylanders. Hogan is not going to allow Democrat or Republican extremists to inject him with their division. This is what I like about him.
