Anyone else have a 5th grader in APS who scored over 1200 on Math Inventory, over 570 on Math SOL, and not get placed into higher math going into 6th grade ?
My kid scored 1320 on math inventory and 600 on SOL, got in.
How do you know those numbers?
SOL's for 5th graders started arriving this week, and the Math Inventory got sent to us in late June. Kid with a 1320 and 600 is definitely destined for advanced math. However, 5th grade kid with the above 1200+ scored well above the needed 1130 to be considered as 6th Grade Advanced Range for end of the year (6th Grade proficiency was 870 to 1120).
I'm interested in this as well, anyone know the scores to make it into Pre-Algebra for 6th Grade, specifically Williamsburg?
