I don't know what you think "Mediocre" is, but I've found the SCHEVE statistics to be very helpful.  Go here and plug in Virginia Tech and you will get the GPA for students who actually enrolled in 2017-2018 (and SAT scores). For the 6393 enrolled students, 25th percentile had a 4.21 or better; the median was 4.00; and the lowest 25th percentile was 3.78. Schreve doesn't report ACT scores for Virginia Tech.  Are you on the right entry?  type in Virginia Tech and be sure to hit "enter".[/quote]
