That is more important than a profile because, women are lazy on dating sites and most don't bother searching for and reading men's profiles until some guy writes to her.  With 100s of messages in her inbox the first week, she can afford to be lazy.

She will see your letter before the profile, but only if the letter doesn't get deleted first.  So your opening letter should be mostly asking about her and without a single word of it sexual.  Just safe questions and very general.  Avoid anything stalkerish like, just where exactly where do you live?

You have to establish that dialogue first with a few back and forth messages and then, if there appears to be mutual interest you can take it offline and ask for a first meeting in a safe place.  Just coffee is best.  Before then, you can offer to send her a selfie or other photos but don't ask for hers.  She will volunteer the same if she wants to but don't ask.

This really isn't that complicated and it's easy to set yourself apart from all the obviously very hungry men with their clumsy attempts who do nothing but scare women away.[/quote]
