Our current cars are soon to be 15 and just turned 11. The 15 year old one had the check engine light pop on two days ago ad I think something is actually wrong with it and I'm bummed. It only has 33k miles on it and I was hoping to run it into the ground.
Wow! At only 33,000 miles the car is breaking down already? Can you tell us what brand@ car? Just curious....
It isn't "breaking down" the check engine light activated. Probably is a bad gas cap, EGR valve or another cheap and easy fix. It may only have 33k miles on it, but it is 15 years old. When you don't use it, the rubber dries out, seals and gaskets get brittle, etc.
