Unsubtle message: the enemy is White men, and the future will be rid of them. The left should try not to get white men to organize and advocate for themselves if they want their agenda to succeed.
Huh? The new Governor and the reelected AG are both white males. The new Speaker, if the Dems take the House of Delegates, is a white male. The message is that the future is a COALITION which includes people of different races, and females as well as males. Since the HoD was so overwhelmingly white and male before, balancing means a lot of new females and POCs. BTW, this "endangered whites" is probably not a good strategy. In the past Asian Americans in NoVa leaned GOP I think - you guys are pissing them off more and more.
Yes, until about 10 years ago, Asians tended to vote more GOP than democratic nationwide. Personally, I think Asian interests are more aligned with GOP polices on economics and most social issues outside of immigration., but thanks to Democratic branding, the GOP now has the default effect of being the white people party even though they haven't really done anything specifically for white people. The GOP in fact has tried to go colorblind for years which hasn't really worked as it is a defensive policy. I'm all for the end of the GOP as a party, not so the Dems can win, but because I don't know what the party really stands for. I don't think its base cares so much about what the donors care for, and if it doesn't move on what its base wants, they will become disengaged and won't vote for them anymore.
I want Jerry Ford Republicans and Jimmy Carter Democrats back. Generally pro-capitalism, but moderate on everything.
