You have to enter a narrative for each time entry, and some clients will push back if they think the time billed is unreasonable. So no one bills for "thinking in the shower" or whatever. I didn't stop my clock for every trip to get a glass of water, but I certainly stopped it for anything non-work related that took more than a minute or two. Most Biglaw attorneys are both ethical and risk-averse.[/quote]
