Good facilities, as you would expect. Library and student union are both new(ish).

Columbus is actually great. The area right around the campus is kind of trashy, I guess, but not terrible and pretty normal for big universities. Think: Urban Putfitters, Chipotle, liquor store, all-night donut store.

It has a lot of spirit. OSU love runs deep, football is important (but no one is going to shame you if you're not into it), there are lots of traditions, and it's really 'close' for being so huge.

Would I go as an undergrad? Not sure. But the class sizes are significantly smaller than I would have thought (based on stereotyping), independent and motivated kids would do well, and you 100% can find your people. And I do miss the fall in Ohio...
