I knew of a situation like this. Turns out, the guy was going on dates on the off weekend. He told my friend he had the kids every weekend, but it was every other weekend.
This. Seriously, who only has custody on every.single.weekend? But not during the week? I can't imagine anyone signing off on that. Every other weekend? Absolutely. But not every single weekend.
I did. Ex insisted only she could properly manage the children during the school week. So the judge said--okay, Mr. Ex. gets them every weekend and for 6 weeks in the summer. By the time holidays and spring break were factored in, I had the kids 52 percent of the time. Weekends are more work but more fun and I get to spend the whole day with the children instead of just an hour in the morning and a few hours in the evening.
I know of several people with this arrangement and they love it. Dad loves having 2 full days with the kids to do whatever & the mom loves having every weekend to herself.
