I actually think Mariah is acting HORRIBLY towards her mom. Meri clearly isn't upset about Mariah being gay, she's upset about the fact that her and Mariah's relationship has deteriorated to the point that it never occurred to Mariah to talk to her about any of this. That she doesn't have a relationship really with her anymore and its agonizing for her. I really felt for Meri trying so hard to get her to open up and to apologize if she hadn't reacted right, she was trying to do and say the right things and Mariah wouldn't even throw her a bone.

I think I really dislike it because what happened between Meri and Cody isn't really any of Mariah's business and she's acting like Meri cheated on HER. No attempts to understand what it would be like to be a sister wife (even though she has decided to not be a sister wife), no understanding for being one of four wives who was only able to have one child, no understanding for how unbearably lonely and sad she's been for years. Like just watching the show the last few years is like watching Meri slowly sink into a depression.

I dunno, I'm happy for Mariah, but I think the 'I'm gay' issue and the 'Meri' issue are two totally different issues. They're being conflated cause they're happening at the same time but its really terrible to watch IMO, the way she treats her mom. [/quote]
