OP here. I wrote this mostly as a spin off of the other hair thread, where the guy was not happy with the hair color. The answer was, suck it up (for him). For me, it is shave it off (mostly). 1) I will shave it off when it gets warm again. 2) I will not shave it off until it starts warming up. But, it is temporary. It is clean. And it is soft. And it is warm. I figured this would be a good example of the anti-male sexism.... DCUM did not disappoint.
Whoops, I just posted but didn't get all the way through to your comment before I commented on the feel of full beards. (one post up ^^^^) Frankly, I agree, DCUM and the whole fucking world is sexist. Is this news? But I don't think all women are like that. It is your face, your hair, and you should be able to do what you want. I don't like my husband's beard, but he's had one for maybe 14-15 years now? A long time. Different lengths, shapes, sizes of ugly. But, WtF, it is his face after all. I don't think he knows what I think of it. He knows I prefer he keep it trimmed and not unruly, clean definitely. But, ultimately, it is his, not mine. And I've never asked him to shave it off. Don't kiss your wife when you've just come in from the wet/cold/snow until you wipe off the beard. I hate that!
