I lived in ny and knew two families where the dads served time for white collar fraud - they made up a fake ticket reselling business and used the money on gambling debt, vacation, and private school (which is how I knew them). People can be audaciously brazen. These families continued to travel, send their many kids to private school that cost 55k a year, despite owing their defrauded investors, and kept on trucking in the Hamptons. It was wild to see. Eventually they went to the federal penitentiary, but I think one is already out and has his career back. [/quote]
