It's less tacky in black and her head styling makes a bit more sense in that palette. Also MUCH prefer her lip color in the black dress -- even with everything I hate about the dress, I think it's the weird purply burgundy lip color that I hate most about the red carpet look. It's not necessarily a bad color on her generally (it's too close to her skin tone but with a different color dress it could work okay), but it is the wrong color with a white dress. Her head is all dark/goth/dramatic and then it's this bright white dress. She looks like a vampire.

I'm super late the this thread, but I liked Mindy Kaling's black version of the dress much better than the white. Agree the red lip is much better, and the waist of the black dress has a banding above the peplum that the white dress does not. Not sure why they're cut differently, but I prefer that detail in the black dress. [/quote]
