Fascinating to hear. BK - what a poor choice for the Supreme Court.
Kavanaugh false accusations. A poor choice for opponents of good jurisprudence.
PP you replied to. I'm sure the accusations confirmed by witnesses are true. I cannot give an opinion on Ms. Ford, although I do find her credible. But from everything we know about BK, his professional writings, his financial situation, his morality and drinking - it all points to the fact that BK is not Supreme Court material. He could have happily stayed out of the limelight as a DC court judge (not universally respected, but at least not universally known and despised). He didn't. Now the chickens are coming home to roost, because we expect higher standards from our Supreme Court Justices. This is really the crux of the matter: many men behave worse than BK. None of them are on the Supreme Court.
Yep. He got the job because he's a GOP good old boy. He had a great job before he got put up for the Sup Ct - a much better job than he deserved given the accusations against him, and sketchy financial stuff, and partisan work against Clinton. But he could have stayed in that job forever without anyone paying any attention. Instead he decided to grab for the brass ring and now it's all come out - and hurt everyone in the process. No one is better off with him having accepted the nomination - our democracy is weaker, I'm sure life kind of sucks for him, his victims have to relive all this, the institution of the Sup Ct is less legitimate, it goes on and on. Except Amy Chua's daughter is better off now, I guess.
