Sigh. The knees. Ugh.  I'm 47 and my legs have always been my best feature--no veins, olive skin, very muscular with no cellulite--former soccer player and runner---but the knees are starting to go south:(.  The skin all around the knees for even the fittest women as they age eventually goes--then it goes crepey.  There is little hope.

I get so hot in the summer that  I can't stand anything on my legs.  I also do skirts or T-shirt dresses.  I will wear shorts on a run or hike though. My DH still loves me legs and thinks the knee thing is in my head--but I see it starting.[/quote]

I'm your age and I bet your knees look fine!  I love the shape of my legs but my skin is paper white with a bluish tint (thanks to translucent skin and veins, and not the kind of veins you can get rid of, I actually need these).  30 years ago when I tanned like crazy, it was good enough, though still not great.  Now, of course, no more tanning beds and I don't have enough time to self-tan, apply leg make-up, whatever.  When you see me at soccer games in my capri pants, I'm doing a public service - no one needs to see these legs.[/quote]
