Um.. your great grandmother didn't live in a tech heavy society. She lived in a society where a HS education could get you a decent paying job.  That's not the case anymore.

According to Joe Biden, he has created many high paying jobs that do not require a college education.  He is encouraging people to go into the trades. Boeing agreed to a three years contract with its machinist union that would see average pay at around $106,000 a year in three year.   How many educated people are making $106,000  year?[/quote]
