I agree that he should be encouraged to advocate his opinions.

so you begrudge him advertising where it's effective and has a big reach? and where it's allowed? if you don't want to contribute, don't. where is he supposed to post that would be more acceptable to you?

I would prefer it not be one teacher posting one fundraising ask at a time and seeing how far he gets, essentially making repeated requests to the same audience; that other teachers do the same, or limit the requests one teacher can make, or better yet, have a separate website where all teachers can post their wish lists and make an occasional post on AEM to please look at that other site and consider helping out.
