Figure skater Jason Brown is a beautiful skater. Stick to triples. I’d rather watch a well executed, perfect routine with no wobbles, falls, etc. Tired of all the Quadruple stuff that rarely come off smoothly.
That’s what Stars on Ice is for, but the Olympics is meant to push the limits of what is possible. Faster, higher, stronger. Jason is a great skater but he is not the most artistic. I feel his scores reflect fondness for him, but I would have much rather seen Ilia compete at the Olympics.
Jason is by far the most artistic skater out there. He may not be faster, higher, stronger with jumps, but he 100% lives up to that motto with artistry. [b] Yuzaru Hanyu is great, but his PCS shouldn’t top Jason when he had falls that took you out of the program. [b]Granted, he got right back into it way better than Cha. Nathan is amazing and I am so glad he won and it was well deserved. However, this and the short program were the first time I’ve ever seen true emotion in his skating. Jason exudes it all the time. Ilia has a bright future ahead of him. I wish he could have taken his place, but I am so glad that Jason had this amazing olympic moment.
Hanyu did NOT receive higher PCS than Brown.
