Not debating the merits of teaching Shakespeare or not. I will say that women defend the patriarchy, male authors, all male panels because it’s what they know and therefore comfortable.

To the person who said you can’t read the cannon as it’s 500-1000 books. Wait what? How many books do you read a year? How old are you? I’m 100 plus books in already this year. I read a history book yesterday and reading a book on totalitarianism now. Do you read that slow or do you hate reading?

Go sulk that your kid didn’t get the same education the exact same way you did. Clearly that education gave you the critical thinking skills so don’t defend the status quo, have great time management skills and know how to effect change for all.
