To settle this, I suggest we develop a commuter model to calculate team ratings and rankings.  The model would compute an overall average performance rating for teams based on how teams perform against other teams and the strength of a team’s opponents.  A team’s overall rating could be used to understand the relative competitiveness of two different teams, and a team's overall rating would then determines a team's ranking. [/quote]
