I think SHE is tired of it too. I think the show is pointing out, if you're different, this stuff finds you. Here she is, getting a new job, doing great at it, nothing to do with her size. And the rude teen brings it up.

I am not overweight. But have talked with friends who are, and you know, I think they're tired of it. I think they face it sometimes, but most of the time they want to focus on other stuff.

Yes. I am overweight (need to lose 75-100lbs) and my weight affects everything. My interactions with people, my self esteem, my relationships, my feelings of self worth. Unless you are seriously overweight, you have no idea how is affects a person.[/quote]

I think the poster was objecting because she said she had her own personal weight struggles going on and didn't turn on the tv to be reminded of this. Which I think I can see, though I never personalize anything on TV so, maybe not. [/quote]
