Randall is an amazing character. I find the dad (Jack?) very interesting, too.
I am too. Enough already.
I think SHE is tired of it too. I think the show is pointing out, if you're different, this stuff finds you. Here she is, getting a new job, doing great at it, nothing to do with her size. And the rude teen brings it up.
I am not overweight. But have talked with friends who are, and you know, I think they're tired of it. I think they face it sometimes, but most of the time they want to focus on other stuff.
So it's going to keep being a storyline. It's a part of her, it affects her. And even when she wants to focus on other aspects of her self, it comes back.
Yes. I am overweight (need to lose 75-100lbs) and my weight affects everything. My interactions with people, my self esteem, my relationships, my feelings of self worth. Unless you are seriously overweight, you have no idea how is affects a person.
Agree with this. I don't need to necessarily see it on my escapism shows though.
How is seeing Kate's struggle any different than seeing Randall's struggle with racial issues?

I don't think it's boring. I think her facial expressions are amazing to watch, she conveys so much without talking.
I also think it's part of a really interesting larger arc--these three kids all raised in the same house, but all turning out so differently. How much is genetic, how much is parental/societal expectation. How did it affect their relationships with mom and dad.
Also, and I'm not sure why, but I do love Jami Gertz and hope the Marin character continues to show up.

Eh I don't care about Jack's storyline, I just like seeing his arms. I'd still jump his bones. If I could jump.
Maybe I'm just the wrong generation, but I don't understand this Jack/Milo love. He just seems like a short, scrawny guy. What's the appeal? No, I never watched Gilmore Girls.

I'm 45 and never watched "Gilmore Girls" or "Heroes" but still LOVE Milo! I usually like clean-cut men, but even with that scruff, Milo is seriously hot.![]()
