Let the kids play for whomever they want to play! They are not professionals who are paid. In fact they are the ones paying the club. Absurd how others outside the parents wish to control a child’s life and decisions. It’s pathetic.
sounds cool but they have rules. What you would be suggesting is a transfer portal for teenage travel soccer lmao. That would be amazeballs to see. But not realistic. Rules are rules
Actually the rules aren’t so rigid. A good atty could win this case hands down for the players. Imagine how holding children hostage for a sport would sound to a team of jurors.
depends on what the contract says. Might not even make it to a jury if it’s ironclad.
LMAO. You clearly aren’t an atty.
I am an attorney. I read the ECNL rules, as much as I hate to say it, FVU has no chance of winning this. Look up the defined terms. Say goodbye to your old teammates. They are gone. Be nice, if history is a guide, they will be back. BSC, and their abusive coaches do not have a track record of keeping top talent at the older age groups. You can welcome them back later, or you can alienate them. That depends on if SYC parents can be civil, I doubt it, but it is ultimately your choice. Can you not bite off your nose to spite your face?
SYC?! Yall talking about these rules?! https://theecnl.com/documents/2023/9/11/ECNL_Competition_Rules_2023_2024.pdf?id=2 2:13:2 will be problematic if the parents willingly registered and accepted before BSC tryouts. No way around it. 2:13:5 could be problematic if ECNL determines they torpedo’d FVU team. Sounds like BSC could get PDA’d and have events removed thereby making it a waste of a season. 3.141 is pretty straightforward about the transfers. If there are no geographic moves involved. Then the commish looks at the other factors surrounding it. And if those factors are as shady as posters are insinuating. Those kids may end up suffering as a result if impulsive decision making as the commish has to look at those “other factors surrounding” :idea  : 2/3 options are ugly. Denying the transfer most likely will leave the kids out in the cold unless roster space is available and said coach wants them to suit up. Sanction and suspension (which sounds like the likely angle being sought w the coaching poaching allegations) gives coaches and parents what they want at the expense of the season. A true cut ur nose off to spite your face moment. I see this being the likely outcome if FVU released the cards as it puts then responsibility on ecnl to enforce the contract. Lastly is just letting everyone leave… No suspension or sanctions. Which is probably what parents and coaches were/are hoping for… but that ignores the other clear verbiage in the contract rules. Bluf: if u signed ur binding language makes leaving difficult outside of geographic moves… which is why most family get a rental for this kind of stuff. Will be am interesting thing for the commish to work out in the next week or so…
