Right. So the fact that Republicans won the White House, House, Senate and more governorships is clearly an indication of a shift to the left. Survey says? NO. It is a clear rejection of the lurch to the left. Open your eyes…. Migration away from Blue states to Red is even more evidence as people are literally voting with their feet and their dollars. Private schools cannot meet the need as people flee disastrous public schools hijacked by unions. I mean honestly what are you even talking about. Good lord you are delusional.
+1000 And for further evidence, just check voter registration numbers, even since the 2024 election. Pennsylvania alone is withing 70,000 registrations of flipping Republican. There is a reason all of these "protests" are 99% middle aged white women - your typical DCUM reader.
I’m no young whippersnapper, but I’m not middle aged and I’m not white. Many people who POST are primarily middle aged white women, but the DCUM readers/lurkers are as diverse as Washington. I know this because I can see each person reading from behind their computer screens.(/s) Seriously, there are tons of silo bubbles that create and disseminate information. You want to get out of the DCUM bubble? Go into someone else’s bubble on social media and hear out perspectives instead of assuming that you know what is driving a statistic. The public didn’t always have the capacity to accurately capture public sentiment. Big data has optimized analytical processes the past 20 years. GOP wins represent a shift, but I don’t think its a shift away from true left ideologies. Its anger over a select few issues and perceived threat in one faction of supporters + corporate greed in another faction + CYAers in another faction. Many people relocated to lower cost of living red states when telework became normalize 5 years ago. All those House Hunter shows got people thinking.
