That’s because I’m a progressive. I’m not afraid of change and really believe that a rising tide lifts all boats. There’s research showing that more generous people make money, and right now under MAGA the US is acting like a poor person cutting AIDS $$ and public broadcasting.
I’m ready to burn it all down so my college-aged kids and their friends might have a future they actually look forward to, instead of worrying about instantly and corruption.
I'm Gen X and my husband is a boomer. This is us!
my husband and I are gen X and I worry so much for my kids’ futures. Hard to understand how anyone can support Trump.
How could you not?
Harris would have let in another 10million illegals. Not removed the criminal illegals already here.
Look at the Issues CA is having paying for their healthcare and eduction. They are bankrupt and asking feds for billions while their citizens suffer.
Not to mention allowing antisemitism in college campuses! Forget about if the Jewish students there are pro Israel or anti Israel, they were being harassed, spit on, kept from attending class. And it was allowed until Trump came into office.
So yeah, country would be screwed if Harris won and Trump won by a landslide. You are in the minority.
are you joking?? there is not one positive thing that Trump is doing to help advance the economy of this country. That will help ensure good paying job jobs in a variety of industries .He’s undermining and destroying universities. Not every HS graduate needs to go to a university, but that should definitely be an option for those that choose it.
What about clean air? Clean water? A stable food supply. Accessing affordable healthcare. Affordable housing? You seriously think that Trump is thinking about any of that?? let alone cares.
Anyone that’s raising a child right now that is not independently wealthy should be terrified.

I appreciate AOC's commitment to her personal integrity and staying true to her populist rhetoric. She is one of the few in Congress who speak out against the influence of money in politics and who calls out their colleagues for using their power and insider knowledge to enhance their wealth. Unfortunately for her, she will remain a Representative from NY unless she changes course on the rhetoric that pisses off mega-donors and her colleagues in Congress.

I like most of what you say but what does "burn it all down" mean in this context? I ain't all about burning stuff down.
Remember the summer of BLM? That's what they mean. Set people's houses, businesses, etc on fire.
Exactly. That’s what they want.
And you want proud boys smearing feces on the walls of the Capitol, bear spraying cops and threatening to hang Mike Pence.
This is hilarious coming from the folks who are urging people to murder ICE Agents.
(That’s you, in case you didn’t flow-chart that already.)

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Right. So the fact that Republicans won the White House, House, Senate and more governorships is clearly an indication of a shift to the left. Survey says? NO. It is a clear rejection of the lurch to the left. Open your eyes…. Migration away from Blue states to Red is even more evidence as people are literally voting with their feet and their dollars. Private schools cannot meet the need as people flee disastrous public schools hijacked by unions. I mean honestly what are you even talking about. Good lord you are delusional.
+1000
And for further evidence, just check voter registration numbers, even since the 2024 election. Pennsylvania alone is withing 70,000 registrations of flipping Republican.
There is a reason all of these "protests" are 99% middle aged white women - your typical DCUM reader.

Mao, Lenin, Castro, Sung
All these come from a leftist uprising against the conservative ruling class. It’s all students and socialists. All the scooters turned to crap after the revolutions. Thai is where the socialist Democratic Party is headed. Period.
Not the scooters!!

It is clear whatever 'conservatism" has been in this country hasn't worked and now been completely hijacked by MAGA.
The country has been dragged so far right that the pendulum has to swing fairly hard to the left just to get us back near the center.

it's not hard. People want essential public services from their government, not the use of tax dollars to advance social agendas with which many disagree.
