You don't get it. We're talking about the consequences of Jan 6. Prosecuting thousands of Capitol ground trespassers, sending them to jail, and a few leaders to decades (!), put the fear of GoVerNmenT into these co-splay militiamen. The justice system has actually been extremely effective at dissuasion. What law enforcement fears is lone wolf action against FBI field offices or other government buildings, which has happened and will continue to happen.

But if Trump is not elected, *there won't be bloodshed*. All these incels dressed-up as warriors will stay home like the cowards they really are.

If Trump is elected, he will attempt to release the Jan 6 rioters: I don't know what legal avenue he might use, because the Justice Department will fight tooth and nail! It might not actually happen. Remember, he thinks he's all-powerful, but the American Government doesn't work like that. His Attorney Generals all had their line in the sand. Even if you fear that he'll gather the worst scum for these roles, they still need to have the requisite experience of government and the appropriate resume, otherwise they can't be appointed. You'll notice that all the career government people Trump has hired all balked at doing the worse things he asked.

The likelihood that this country devolves into a dictatorship is minuscule. There are checks and balances, Pences and Barrs and Johnsons, who when push comes to shove, won't just crown him monarch. They'll go farther to please Trump than any of us would like. But they won't create a dictatorship

I prefer not to take a chance; I'm voting for the party of "not Trump." No reason to elect a lying self interested person who only cares about himself as president again. We saw what happened last time. [/quote]
