Frumin needs to be recalled. He is flailing around at a critical time that calls for action. We can’t afford for him to serve out his full term.
Does anyone know "how" to do this?
1. File a notice of intention to recall with the Board of Elections. This can be done 366 days after the elected official takes office (so I'm guessing that means Jan. 2, 2024, in the case of Frumin, Allen and Nadeau). 2. You have 180 days to collect signatures, and you need to collect them from at least 10 percent of the registered qualified voters of that ward. As of Oct. 31, Ward 3 had about 53,000 registered voters. 3. If the recall effort is certified by BOE, a recall election must be held within 114 days of certification. https://code.dccouncil.gov/us/dc/council/code/sections/1-1001.17#:~:text=%E2%80%9CA%20recall%20petition%20for%20an,which%20the%20officer%20was%20elected.
