So the suspect ran here in this case....so what. Give him space to run and let him tire himeself out. If he gets away, so what? You have his car and know his identity. The car was not reported stolen, so odds are the probability that it was stolen are low. Giving space can deescalate situations, just like how the Brits practice and are trained to do even when suspects are carrying weapons.[/quote]
