PP here. KL already has a National title from a time when a national title meant something, He also has former players who have played at the highest level. MRM Rush teams were not the first pick for players in this area but he managed to develop those players in to the type that can come start and an exiting ECNL team and make that team better. I seriously don't know what else a coach can do.
His national title came when all the best teams played in the ECNL so nope you are wrong. That same team with the addition of many top players didn’t even make the ECNL Playoffs!!
Shows you know next to nothing but since you are a Bethesda parents you likely you believe you know more than the coaches. Hence, the #1 problem with Bethesda is the parents. That team had several girls who were considered the best in the region with more than a half dozen going on to major DI programs including GUm BC, Col, Cor, LH and Cin. Consider that several of those players were all conference selections and one has been called up to national team camp. Now how many BSC seniors are playing for major schools in the Fall? Again, I am not knocking Bethesda's players but it just seems ludicrous that anyone coming from Bethesda has the nerves to try to question KL's track-record. Also, ECNL was not the today's ECNL when KL's team won a national title. Back then, there were many strong women's teams that were not in ECNL including Pipeline and SAC.
"Hence, the #1 problem with Bethesda is the parents." You got that right. It's a minority of them for sure, but they make the most noise and deeply entrenched with the "old" man's backing.
When a club lacks leadership and direction, the parents fill the void. When a club (or any business/company) is focused on its purpose with clear direction with strong leadership, they produce great products. When they routinely produce great products that are D1 caliber/talented kids, everyone shuts up especially the parents. The power never shifts to the parents because they will all have the fear of missing out. Bethesda parents is no different than any other club parents. So blaming the parents is completely wrong. (I am not a current or former BSC parent, but just an astute observer.)
