Well, when you pay your deposit before such an announcement is made you are a bit locked in at this point.

And I don’t think Spirit parents are necessarily rooting for the demise of FCV as much offering honest perspective as parents who have gone through this before. Spirit was also purchased by a millionaire who also made promises. It is wise for FCV parents to be skeptical and be critical this coming year. Make note of how the goal posts get moved throughout the year.

Does Sunday, regen practice during the season in the fall bleed into one weeknight in the spring? Does one futsal practice in Loudoun during the fall turn into two a night over the winter?

I never assumed it was a Spirit parent posting it.  I don’t know anyone who took delight in what went on at Spirit over the last few years. All these kids are old friends and teammates, they go to school together. The parents are friends and former teammates.  I guess I missed the smugness, but I’m sure there’s some moron out there who made it appear we were all like him. Why St James bought it?  Don’t know. Parents aren’t naive, as I said some change is expected and of course everyone is watching, waiting and asking questions. So far, the answers have been solid enough that I haven’t seen anyone run off.  I think people have a hard time believing that both Metro and StJFCV can both succeed. I happen to believe they can. Neither has to hope for the demise of the other. [/quote]
