St. James was trying to get soccer moving in their facility and were generating zero interest on their own. So their choices then were to partner with a existing club or buy one. You can’t really buy a non-profit and the St James does not want to partner because they could only profit via concessions and halo memberships. This leaves buying a club as the only options and the only real clubs that they could buy were Barca, FCV and Spirit VA.
Wrong. FCV was never going to take over Spirit. That comes from Christian himself. It actually turns out that the rumors of FCV being taken over BY Spirit we’re closer to the mark, given the financial difficulties FCV was gaming.
We’re = were and gaming = having. Stupid phone.

Are you the same poster who posts this like once a day? It’s like you have some vested interest in seeing the club fail. No one else seems to be rooting as hard against another club except you. Lots of good players and parents are sticking it out. Just let it go.
Well, when you pay your deposit before such an announcement is made you are a bit locked in at this point.
And I don’t think Spirit parents are necessarily rooting for the demise of FCV as much offering honest perspective as parents who have gone through this before. Spirit was also purchased by a millionaire who also made promises. It is wise for FCV parents to be skeptical and be critical this coming year. Make note of how the goal posts get moved throughout the year.
Does Sunday, regen practice during the season in the fall bleed into one weeknight in the spring? Does one futsal practice in Loudoun during the fall turn into two a night over the winter?
Do changes in branding occur slowly?
But the smugness that FCV parents demonstrated during Spirit’s situation while simultaneously ignoring the cautionary tale is baffling. Has anyone really asked why FCV was purchased? Why it was sold is understandable but why St James purchased it is really the only question that will truly answer FCVs future.

Is this another "I know you are" thing? No, I'm not, but it is naive to think any club can have new owner's and not change. Never happens ever.
I think everyone expects some change just not the drastic life-changing stuff that keeps popping up on here. Not saying it’s you spewing it, just seems like there’s some poster on here with the daily ‘danger, danger leave, run’ garbage. Seems that for now, no one is doing that.

Question has been asked and answered by the coaching staff repeatedly. Outdoor DA stays at Evergreen. No indication that it'll be moved. None.
What is the name of your club?
Everyone who cares knows the club was sold. Also, everyone who has asked the coaches directly knows where practices will be held. Not sure why you decided otherwise all by yourself. Shrug, believe what you want though.
The club is named after a facility. Keep telling yourself DA will stay 40 miles away from that facility.
And in fact, this time next year I look forward to the press release from the St. Hames Soccer Club.
John Cougar > John Cougar Mellencamp > John Mellencamp
FC Virginia > St. James FC Virginia > St. James FC
Evergreen > Evergreen / St James > St. James /Fairfax
I mean FCV told you all about this change BEFORE you paid your deposit so I’m sure you’re right and it will never happen. The new owners will be more than happy to keep paying on that Evergreen lease that keeps people out of their facility.
Look at what makes sense and is most likely more than what you are hoping for. No matter what your coaches tell you the ultimate decision is no longer theirs.
Dude relax. I dont even live in VA so I have no skin in the game but youre making yourself look like a fool right now.
To say a new owner of a club HAS to move their entire operation to one specific area is stupid. It shows you know nothing about acquisitions and the like.
If you saw the facility and the massive debt associated with that facility you would understand the situation better. If you saw understood the traffic distance you would understand.
The new owners are in the Gym business, not the youth sports business.
Damn, so I guess all the new Baltimore Armour DA girls will have to be driving to BALTIMORE since BALTIMORE is in its name? Dont be ignorant.
No but their practices ranged from SAC fields, the soccerplex and the Baltimore area.
VDA practices range from Longpark to Howison. So to say that FCV will not be practicing at Evergreen exclusively when no other clubs with different locations practices exclusively at one location.
And the difference is VDA and Armour are all club affiliations that requires such an accommodation for the partnerships to work. There are no such partnerships for The St. James FCV to worry about maintaining.
exactly, nothing is changing for baltimore armour, and nothing is changing to FCV
