Among other rumors, that there will be a shakeup for the MD Spirit-  possibly dropped by Spirit, and Baltimore Armour adding girls DA program.

Is that really just that Spirit is going to keep the patch but outsource the admin to the partner clubs? I had hear that at least at the younger ages, they were looking to do that in VA with GFR (though who would coach those teams I don't know....)[/quote]

No big deal.  Win-win if another entity manages the administrative portion of the program, but it is still owned and coached by the Spirit staff, which would have to be the formula.  No other org is authorized by US Soccer to be a DA locally (Arl or FCV won’t be “merging” with Spirit, if that’s the recycled thought) and they aren’t getting rid of an NSWL DA club, despite what a couple people here dream about.   Having Armour and GFR manage the paperwork/communications etc while the coaching staff sticks to the technical stuff would help to streamline their operations.   [/quote]
