I am NOT debating yes or no on these issues. I am saying that there is an echo chamber there and a bunch of fans who now believe that everything they thought yesterday might be wrong, and that only by tossing out orthodoxy on all levels and in all things can we achieve the enlightened state of Jen. In my opinion, this is not only terribly harmful to the followers but to the leader as well who is being applauded right over a cliff. The poor woman- what does she have left?[/quote]

This line of thinking makes the argument that Jen is actively leading people away from beliefs, but I don’t think she has that type of influence, even within her own circle. I think what’s appealing about her is that she is a face and a voice of what is has been a very common experience. Jen didn’t invent deconstruction and she is not an outlier. She’s just a face and a voice of a common experience. Don’t give her so much credit and it might bother you much less. [/quote]
