Crusader (or crusaders, itβs hard to tell) claims to have no dog in the fight bc either their kid never did get rejected or was smart enough to explore other options. But then continues to monitor and bash at will. If crusader cares this much about what is going on at the academy that has he or she claims has had and never had a direct impact on his or her life, I truly hope he or she is doing more than being a keyboard warrior. Since this crusader knows so much and has so much experience with running an academy and developing international talent, I would love to hear what he or she is doing apart from posting here. But bashing the academy at every opportunity by stalking the board for any mention of the academy, pretending to be some selfless and altruistic being, and then not actually doing anything else is just really β¦ interesting.
They are a psychologist's dream Claims to operate in a youth soccer stratosphere way beyond and above the comprehension of us lowly dcum folks, yet is completely obsessed with inconsequential dcu kids and constantly on a quest for anonymous people to give them insider information, in addition to all the inside information they already possess
ππ
This is where you completely miss the mark. No one really cares about DCU. In fact, DCU is not worth caring about. It's irrelevant. What people do care about is having correct information at their disposal to make decisions about whether to invest their son's time in DCU. That is what this whole thread is about. Providing context and perspective on DCUs actions and inactions that paint an accurate picture of the state of play there. All of DCUs shortcomings have been exposed here so that parents can at least have one place where there is strong information about an academy that doesn't have any public information available about it. But at the same time pushes misleading narratives about its efficacy and it's pathway for the players. The kids and parents of those kids looking at DCU as an option are the target of this thread. Not DCU. DCU isn't worth the time and energy. Saving people from making mistakes with their son is. And if that means that every problem at DCU gets exposed in the process, so be it. Lack of staff, no money, no second team, no facilities, minimal on field success, no development methodology, weak online school, no investment, money grab RDS, all of it...just paints the picture of what DCU is...A second rate MLS academy acting like they are first rate, that isn't any better than many of the local clubs in our area in terms of development or end game results (i.e college). This is just a FACT. Has nothing to do with sour grapes or a kid not being selected or anything like that. These things are uncontroverted and everyone knows it. The reality is that even the USSF knows that DCU is a joke. If you're at the level and have interacted with the USSF they will tell you straight up that DCU is not the greatest club to be in for many reasons. This is KNOWN. If you want to live in fantasy land about DCU, that's fine. But don't expect anyone else to live there with you. Be at DCU and in your mind think all is good. Just do that...
