Ann Coulter is right on in this regard: "If we want to help African Americans, ban the Dems not their flag": "Coulter said, “I think it’s completely moronic. I mean this is an awful awful thing that happened in Charleston. Luckily, it’s quite rare. But to jump on this and go back to a litany of liberal talking points that make Republicans look bad, how about banning the Democratic party? They were the ones supported the Confederate side of the Civil War. They were the ones that supported segregation for a hundred years. If we want to do something nice for black people, how about ending immigration which is dumping millions of low-wage workers on the country and taking jobs from African-Americans, as enumerable studies have shown. I mean there are all sorts of nice things you could be doing here.”" http://www.breitbart.com/video/2015/06/23/coulter-if-we-want-to-help-african-americans-ban-the-dems-not-their-flag/
Quoting Ann Coulter and Breitbart and makes you look like an uneducated fool.
Not understanding the black man is getting screwed for a voter block is making you look like a sheep.
Alabama had the most strict immigration law in the country. All of the "illegals" left and guess what, NO American could do those jobs. Not white or black. They even tried bringing the prisoners to work in the fields and factories. They were like, hell no - not for that wage. Alabama lost $10B in one year after the law went into effect. Produce rotted and chicken producers closed. AL has been trying to reverse the law, but it's too late. It's all highlighted in a recent episode on Vice.
So what you are saying is no American WOULD do the job, not COULD. That's because they are not hungry enough.
Another PP here. I suppose you are right. But they were the lowest wage jobs with no benefits in unbearable conditions. I think the PP's point is that for all this talk about the ills of illiegal immigration, a huge part of Alambama's economy relied on it. Because, for whatever reason, the folks of Alabama did not want to endure those conditions for such a paltry wage. Those folks have their sights set on the oil and gas jobs - not the fruit picker jobs.
