It’s funny how this thread seems to have lost all its inertia once details of the judge’s conduct came out, and it turns out she did exactly what posters on page 1 suggested she did. Those posters were attacked of course… And now this thread is withering on the vine. That makes me laugh.
There's nothing to say. The judge should not have been arrested. The ICE/DEA/DOJ whichever (there's a lot of lousy reporting) agents were in the wrong. This is a(nother) black mark for this administration. Do they really think this is going well for them? That this dumb stunt was a good idea? That this is gong to make the judiciary more sympathetic to their dumb legal shenanigans? Does anyone at all in this administration have a brain?
Wrong, PP. you are completely wrong. And uninformed. Educate yourself, fool. https://www.washingtonpost.com/documents/d62bd73e-a370-40e4-8d37-3cb70f6fa035.pdf
Your evidence the complaint? Lolololol.
(DP). PP didn't post the complaint, they posted an FBI agent's affidavit. Read it. It's compelling. There are a lot of witnesses here. I feel badly for Dugan's courtroom deputy, he obviously was just doing his job and telling the truth but she seems like the type to retaliate. The government wouldn't be able to get that many third party witnesses (attorneys, prosecutors, courtroom deputies) to corroborate unless they had a pretty accurate understanding of what went down. Video surveillance will probably also corroborate their testimony. As a lawyer myself who has spent her fair share in courtrooms, it is VERY unusual for Dugan to allow the defendant to exit that way. She knew what she was doing. (I'm a Democrat if it matters).
