You're getting older, you realize you're getting older, but you don't feel any different than when in your 40s or 50s. You don't feel older. If you're healthy and you've led a healthy life, 65 is mostly an extension of a healthy middle age. Going to the doctor's is a hassle especially if you're worried about your frail DH. Pure speculation, but if she thought she had the flu, she may have been powering through the symptoms. She had no idea it was serious. The breathing trouble? That should have been a big red flag. Perhaps she didn't have breathing problems until the very end, when she was about to collapse?[/quote]
