So they probably wanted the controversy and bought that angle. But they were counting on the author delivering something readable that they could sell, and instead they got a jeremiad about her own personal baggage. A decent novel with this angle could have done well, especially locally. But OP (author) couldn't get over herself enough to write a decent novel. [/quote]
