The discussion is about top tier DMV HS teams.  Doesn’t matter if they’re public or private. Oakton has shown it can hang with SAAS. 
One win doesn’t get them into this discussion.  But if they put other top tier teams on their schedule next year (Visi, SR, GC, PVI, SJC) and play them competitively, they - like any other team - have a right to be a part of the conversation. How can they not?[/quote]

And furthermore - until Oakton's schedule is full of ISL AA and some Maryland privates then they are not part of the conversation. One game, one year does not make them a player. There is NO WAY Oakton is anywhere near the same playing field with the publics that are ranked (Darien, Bayport etc.) When they are good enough to be ranked, they will be ranked. Or mentioned. Or considered. [/quote]
