The architecture is very modern and is intended to complement and highlight the natural beauty of the setting but is not classical. I like it but it is not to everyone's tastes. That's why Pepperdine tends to get high marks -- it has classical architecture in a gorgeous California setting. A crowd pleaser.[/quote]
