Looking at it, I agree with the above observation. Looks like Wooward will be the second Einstein in the area. I think Einstein will be losing IB and no IB in Woodward. Both are high level of FARMS comapred to lets say WJ. Both will be having art programs without any STEM focus. Likely to end up as two simialr schools. Right now, Einstein used to egt some movitaed kids due to IB, now it will be gone as well.

If Einstein is losing the performing arts there is no reason to go given they have watered down academics.  They just ruined Einstein.   Losing the IB is fine as only a few graduate with degrees.  [/quote]

Again, this doesn't mean Einstein is losing IB. It means Einstein won't have a [i]regional[/i] IB program. It can either keep IB or have comparable AP classes for the local students.[/quote]

Given the direction of Einstein's IB program, facilitated in its decline by the school's administration, it either will continue its devolution as the more academically inclined go to the new regional IB at BCC or it will go away entirely as resources focus on now-to-be-regional programs VAC (currently county-wide), Education (currently ??? -- there is special education at Einstein, but that is for [i]students[/i] with special ed need, so one might question the claim of an extant Education program, presumably [i]teaching-oriented[/i], on the asset map; alternately, they may be defining "Education," from a magnet perspective, as Special Education in the first place, which introduces a whole other set of considerations) & Design (to be developed).

VAC and VAPA have always been separate, so there's no divorcing needed. The Education program is probably the Teacher Academy of Maryland, which Einstein already has.[/quote]
