Looking ahead, FVU looks weak for 2012 and 2013 age groups. 2012s. NVA will be strong. SYC strong but GA. Arlington will be strong. Top players who would go to Union/Brave going instead to Arlington for MM. She coached that age group a few years ago at Mclean and Arlington and great reputation. 2013. Mclean, Loudon and SYC tops. SYC is GA. But with DB now at Loudon, expect consolidation at NVA in a year when they go ECNL and he will have that age group likely. Conclusion. FVU will have challenges in the next few years.
Except the top players from Vienna are going to FVU 2012. None to Arlington or NVA. Not sure where they will stand next year but they should be competitive. Why would the 2013 McLean team break up their team and commute to Loudoun? Even the majority of 2011 Union players didn’t go there for DB. If they stay, then FVU 13 should be the best around. Nice story though.
