I think OP has a right to be upset. Jewish kids do not belong at vbs (and yes, those kids are Jewish because the mom is Jewish). On that same note, Christian kids should not be sent to a Jewish camp. Why on earth would they want to go anyway????
You really can't see the difference?
What difference. There are reform, conservative and orthodox Jewish camps. Even the most reform camps are kosher, sing hebrew songs and teach about the bible. So no, I do not see a difference. and for the record. I am Jewish and I get it. So many of the posters on this thread simply do not get it.
Christians believe that if you don't believe Jesus is the son of God, you're going to hell. Do you really not see the difference between going to a camp with that underlying message in their religion and one in which you can't eat certain things and say a blessing before you eat?
I do not believe this and I'm a Christian. No 1. Commandment: love your neighbor as yourself. All others are secondary.
Actually, commandment #1 is "You shall have no other gods before Me." "Love thy neighbor" isn't even on the list.
Matthew 22;34-40 34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two
