CNN is reporting that the shooter was in his 30s. If that's true, I am at a loss to speculate about a motive in this situation. Someone on this thread said a professor connected to the economics class was Jewish ... but, if that's what you're going to do, in my memory there is a still very serious orthodox Jewish community right up the road only a few miles away, complete with synagogue and Hebrew school. I don't think they've moved since I was there, even if it was 30 years ago. I agree with the speculation that the shooter must be white, since they're so far saying nothing about race. Maybe hate all liberals and smart people or something? Brown is well known to be one of the most liberal Ivies? Last time I checked?
The motive is clear and has been clear since last night. This was a study session for an Econ class taught by a proud Jewish professor. This anti-Semitic Hamas supporter walked in excited to get his chance to support the cause and murder a wonderful, innocent, and proud Jewish woman, and freaked out when it was her TA leading the session. Decided that murdering her students also benefited the cause. Of course, the cops refuse to do their job and acknowledge what is actually going on, because if they acknowledge this hatred, they can no longer pretend that use Jews are just getting whiney and uppity when we say that we are terrified of leaving our houses, and they would have to admit that the Democratic Party has become an international arm of Hamas, a terrorist organization, so I’m sure they are desperately trying to find some way to tie it to something- anything - other then anti-semitism. Preferably our great president Donald J. Trump.
I repeat my previous post … there’s literally a whole Jewish community up the hill. I used to work out at the JCC Using the phrase “the Democratic Party” marks you as a foreigner … no one in the actual US uses this term
Hamas terrorists are not exactly known for their intelligence. And the anti-Semitic monster likely intended to target the nearby community following the attack. And I call it the Democratic Party because I want democrats/Hamas supporters to have to wrestle with the root of their party as they continue to call for my brutal murder, and the murder of the Jewish population. They need to recognize how far the party has fallen from from advancing democracy to openly calling for the extermination of the Jewish population.
The Democratic Party does not "support" Hamas. If you want people to stop conflating Netanyahu and Israeli war crimes with Jewish people globally, then stop trying to conflate concern for Palenstinian people as "supporting Hamas."
I think the message is, people should not kill other people For religious reasons, philosophical reasons, other reasons. You should not kill other people.
