The correct procedure would have been to reopen his case and say the gang problem he said he was scared of no longer applies, and then they would have deported him to El Salvador.

I don't know what world you live in where getting sent to a notorious prison is a harmless mistake. IRL, it is a shocking and egregious mistake that should be fixed.  The Supreme Court agreed 9-0.  [/quote]
