Did you think it was a "junket" when two MAGA congressmen travelled to El Salvador this week to pose in front of prisoners at CECOT? Or was that official business?[/quote]

For the record, here are some of the MAGA/GOP politicians who have been to CECOT, besides Kristi Noem and her much-publicized photo opps.

--In March 2024, [b]Senator Tom Cotton [/b](AK) visited El Salvador where he praised the nation's improved safety and toured CECOT, becoming the first U.S. official to do so.

--In July 2024, a delegation led by Rep. [b]Matt Gaetz[/b] (FL) included Reps. [b]Andy Biggs[/b] (AZ), [b]Dan Bishop[/b] (NC), and [b]Alex Mooney[/b] (WV). They toured CECOT and met with President Bukele, expressing support for his security measures.

--in April 2025, Rep. [b]Riley Moore[/b] (WV) visited CECOT and [b]Jason Smith[/b] (MO) was photographed in front of a cell of prisoners. [/quote]
