Oh please. This is the first time in history that people have been asked to completely shut down society for a virus that killed so relatively few. The idea that in the past people would have stayed shut in their houses to prevent getting what for most is a flu like disease is laughable. [/quote]

Dp, but so sick of comparisons of covid deaths to 9/11 or various wars.  The correct comparison is to other viruses.  Why?  Because even the lowly flu can kill tens of thousands in US in any given year, yet we do not run around comparing it to Iraq war deaths.  So far, covid worse than flu and h1n1, order of magnitude yet to be determined.[/quote]
